Where it all began
Sheleta Mason, a native of Greensboro NC has been captivating audiences with her powerhouse vocals for over 25 years. Born to Pastor John and Shelia Milton, she is one of 7 gifted siblings. She was a member of the gospel group Straight Up. This family group, which was birthed in the early ’90s, consisted of two of her sisters and two of her cousins. In 2014, she stepped out on faith as a solo artist and has since, released her debut album entitled Heart of a Believer. In 2015 and 2017 she was the winner of Featured Highlights Awards Gospel Artist of the year and is currently working on her Sophomore Album. Her music is a combination of sultry, jazzy sounds mixed with her emotional testimony. Every word has a meaning.
From East to West
Everything she writes about she has lived through and she hopes that her music can strengthen those who may be going through similar situations. Inspirational music is an understatement. She realizes she has been entrusted with the awesome responsibility of nurturing, cultivating and growing her God-given talent to the best of her ability. In a sense, it’s somewhat of a gift of thanks that she has no problem giving back to the giver.
